dcogcadmin | March 14, 2016

Mayor Muriel E. Bowser and Archana Vemulapalli, D.C.’s chief technology officer, will discuss government transparency and open data policy at the fifth annual Sunshine Week program co-hosted by the D.C. Open Government Coalition at the National Press Club March 15 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

The event is open and free to all, but space is limited and only a few seats are still available. Click here to register. A reception will follow the program.

Sunshine Week is a national initiative to promote a dialogue on the importance of open government and freedom of information. This non-partisan, non-profit initiative, coordinated by the American Society of News Editors and the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, is celebrated in mid-March each year to coincide with James Madison’s birthday March 16.
