Register for the March 13 D.C. Open Government Summit

  We hope you plan to join the D.C. Open Government Coalition for its second annual “D.C. Open Government Summit” Wednesday, March 13.

  The D.C. OGC will share results of its recent open meetings audit, surveying compliance across dozens of D.C. boards and commissions. Robert Spagnoletti, chairman of the newly established Board of Ethics and Government Accountability which oversees the not-yet-established D.C. Open Government Office, will join us for a discussion about the audit and Teri Janine Quinn, president of the Bloomingdale Civic Association will share her observations on access to meetings in the District.

  D.C. Council Chairman Phil Mendelson (D) will join for a question-answer session on the state of transparency in D.C. government. Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie (D-Ward 5) will give remarks as well. Finally, the event will feature a conversation with V. David Zvenyach, general counsel to the D.C. Council, regarding the Council’s recent settlement with the D.C. OGC of FOIA litigation over access to Councilmembers’ emails.
