Mayor’s Office Clamming Up?

Susie Cambria, on her blog Susie’s Budget & Policy Corner, writes about a trend she’s noticed: D.C. Mayor Adrian M. Fenty’s office is cutting back on its efforts to keep reporters and citizens posted on the mayor’s projects and whereabouts. She cites the elimination of what had appeared to be a plan for regular public cabinet meetings in the community, as well as the reduced production of the mayoral newsletter. In addition, she points out that the Mayor’s daily schedule is no longer e-mailed to interested parties (though it’s still posted on the web).
